In the current business landscape, the distinction between standard and premium companies is becoming more marked, with a growing emphasis on values like sustainability, business ethics, inclusion, environment, health, safety, and the commitment to be consistent with them. Particularly, the companies adopting solar energy as a viable alternative to fossil fuels lead the way towards a greener and more environmentally conscious future.
 
At Transfer Oil we have been closely following these topics for quite some time and have undertaken numerous impactful projects in this direction. The most important one is the installation of a state-of-the-art photovoltaic system that now completely covers the roofs of all our premises. After an initial design phase aimed at achieving maximum energy efficiency, installation work took more than three months, involving a specialized supplier and an internal team to supervise the implementation of the project.



Made of nearly 5.000 modules, the solar park has a total surface area of 20,000 square meters with more than two megawatts of maximum power. The system covers more than 80 percent of the company's energy needs, including the various electric vehicle charging stations, and will lead to a reduction of CO2 emissions into the atmosphere of more than 910 tons per year, comparable to the planting of more than 35,000 plants, like a 90-hectare forest, with energy savings of about 360 TOE (Tons of Oil Equivalent) per year.
 
We are really proud to have accomplished this major project, which comes from a strong commitment to follow ESG policies and align with related KPI. However, the photovoltaic system is just one of many sustainability initiatives we have undertaken, both completed and ongoing.
