Even among businesses that most virtuously prioritize the care of greenery within their premises, it is not infrequent to see, adjacent land, even if owned, left unattended or even not considered.
On the northwest side of the Transfer Oil site lies a plot of land of nearly five hectares, bought by our company in 2021. This land has been left unattended for a few years, but now, thanks to a recovery and enhancement project, the first activities aimed at consolidating the two long rows of vines have taken place this year.
The specific focus was on these rows, given that they consisted of ancient and native vines. Thanks to the installation of new header and support poles, the row planting has been restored, saving the vines, and ensuring their preservation for years to come also thanks to installation of an automatic irrigation system.
The next steps of the project, aside from maintaining the soil and safeguarding the existing vines, include introducing new vines to ensure the continuity and productivity of the rows.
