Colorno, Sepetember 20^th 2024. A few days after the conclusion of the Hydrogen Expo conference and exhibition, it's time to reflect on the event. Now in its third edition, Hydrogen Expo has steadily expanded, attracting key players in the hydrogen industry from both Italy and across Europe.
 
The exhibition provided us with a solid platform to introduce our new range of hydrogen hoses, which garnered significant interest. While rigid steel tubes are commonly used in hydrogen plants, they are not suitable for vehicles refueling (cars, trains, ships) - and that’s where we come in. Our hoses are flexible and lightweight, ensuring ease of use and installation at fuel stations.
 
Our hydrogen hose range is designed to meet all refueling pressure standards, with the following specifications:
 

• H35: Handles up to 500 bar (7,000 psi)
• H50: Handles up to 700 bar (10,000 psi)
• H70: Handles up to 1040 bar (15,000 psi)

 
Additionally, hydrogen, being the smallest and lightest molecule, requires specialized materials and technology to prevent leakage and ensure safety. Our hoses are constructed with advanced multi-layer technology that guarantees resistance and minimal permeability. This enhances both safety and durability, making the hoses ideal for outdoor use under high-pressure conditions. Moreover, their flexibility allows for easier routing into complex systems and confined spaces compared to traditional rigid tubes.
 
We are proud to announce that our hydrogen hoses have successfully passed all ISO 19880-5 tests for gaseous hydrogen. Certification is now in progress, reinforcing our commitment to reaching the highest standards in hydrogen technology, performance, and above all, safety.
 
A key highlight of this year's Expo was the 2nd edition of the IHTA – Italian Hydrogen Technology Awards – held on Thursday, September 12th. These awards celebrate the innovative achievements of companies in the hydrogen sector. We are honored to have won in the “Technological Innovation” category for "Components and Materials – Ultra High Pressure Flexible Hoses."
